Shipshewana

We had a wonderful time with Grandpa Jan and Grandma Kathy at Splash Universe. Brayden and Audrey were quite brave and adventurous, and I'm sure Grandpa would like me to point out that Grandma and Mommy didn't do too bad either!

The slides are where the kids spent a lot of their time but Brayden also enjoyed a bigger, orange slide.

Lazy river.

Dual Vortex. I was very surprised how fast it was when Grandpa and I tried it out. I was also surprised that Brayden didn't think twice as we climbed the stairs. He loved it and really gave me a workout as I lugged the raft up a lot of stairs. Audrey also really liked the Dual Vortex and took most of her rides with Grandpa Jan.

SPEED! Grandpa and Audrey

Heather and Thomas

We had a wonderful Friday and Saturday with Heather Caldwell! We got to help Heather feed her parents' lambs and the kids took their first ride in the back of a truck (for several feet). The picture makes it seem like they thought it was the best thing ever but they opted for the cab any other chance they got. Audrey was generally afraid of the farm and Brayden's ultimate goal was to soak Heather with the water we were supposed to give to the lambs. Another of Brayden's priorities was taking a bath at Heather's (he remembered Heather's awesome bath toys). Thanks to the trip to the Caldwell homestead, he got his wish!

Bright and early Saturday morning we headed into Connersville for a "Day Out with Thomas". We did it right this year and arrived at the railway before the heat and crowds. Our first stop was in the play tent; the kids were less than impressed but Brayden showed-off his two words on the chalk board. The new favorite this year was the mini golf. Brayden even got a hole-in-one! Other activities included a "train" ride in the blue cars, snow cones, tatoos, and a petting zoo. The bounce house was short-lived after Brayden crashed head-first into another child's head. Another favorite was the "cave," a maze-like box. The attendant questioned who Audrey belonged to as she climbed the ladder. When I waved he noted that I would fit through just fine. I wasn't at all worried until Audrey didn't come out the exit with Brayden. Shortly after, though, she came out the entrance.

Thank you Heather for your friendship and a wonderful weekend!

Life Going On

We enjoyed a walk with Tallulah and Lydia one evening. Poor Tallulah is loved to death!

Even Mommy had to try this! Wet slides are so fast and fun! Audrey preferred to soak in the pool.

Can't be too careful!

T-ball antics. Hopefully this is out of our system. Brayden's second game involved a lot of missing on purpose. He thought he was pretty funny.

In May, Brayden and Audrey went for their first bike ride. The newness wore off quickly and most of our "bike" rides involved Audrey in her beloved blue baby stroller and Brayden rolling down hills on his tricycle.

Easter Fun

At the Bunny Hop

Brayden and Audrey were way more excited about our Easter games than Easter morning!

Brayden had a brilliant idea for egg safety! We rapidly cracked eggs until we started using our little bread mattresses!

Just can't find that egg!

What Audrey chose to wear while trying out her new bubble machine!
Below: Don't they look so happy?
